PDF Tools processes PDFs locally in your browser. We do not operate an upload API for your documents and we do not persist file contents on our servers.
Legal bases
We process strictly necessary local storage to run core site features under legitimate interest and security obligations. Optional advertising processing is based on your explicit consent and can be withdrawn by resetting consent preferences.
Advertising
Ad tags (for example Google AdSense) load only after explicit opt-in aligned with Google Consent Mode v2. We do not operate site analytics or usage tracking.
Subprocessors
Cloudflare (hosting/CDN) and Google AdSense (advertising) may process request metadata under their own data processing terms. None receive uploaded PDF contents because files are processed locally.
Retention
Consent preferences stay in your browser until changed or cleared. Optional third-party data retention follows each provider's policy; we do not persist PDF document contents server-side.
Your rights
You can request information, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection for personal data processed by our third-party services. Contact us through the details on the about page and we will coordinate with relevant processors.
